 An 'Orchestra Model' size guitar that will be constructed from:

  •     Tasmanian Blackwood, back and sides (sourced from Tasmania) and
  •     Sinker Redwood top (sourced from California, USA)


Tasmanian Blackwood.  Neck blank.  Bookmatched, back and sides.

Rosewood blanks, Fingerboard and Bridge


Mold and sides ready for bending



Back, joined, roughly shaped and thickness sanded.  Ready for bracing.




Preparing the neck/head scarf joint






Blocks ready for glueing up to make the neck heel

Neck blank with truss road slot routered.


Top outline roughly shaped




Fingerboard ready for fretting

Sides finally brace ready for back and top to be applied.


Back glued on.  Next install edge bindings.
